Double Stroller, Baby Smiles & No Naps!

Dear Kacie and Kalvin,

You two are so fun to watch!

Kacie, you have recently started going through this phase where you don't want your picture taken.

Unless Kalvin is around! Then you just smile all big and happy!

You love having him on your tummy like mom and dad do!

And sometimes you just want to be like him - a baby - so you'll get his pacifier and blanket and make me cover you with it.

I just love these cute little pants that we got you Kalvin. And they go perfectly with your baseball onsie. I try to put you in Cardinals gear on Fridays like your dad and Grandpa G wear!

Since there are two of you kids now we upgraded our stroller to a double stroller! You LOVE being outside Kacie. You will always ask us to go out and we will take you out for a couple of hours and then as soon as we come back in, you are just back to asking to go outside again! It gets exhausting trying to explain why we can't always be outside!

And Kacie, you love it! It's a Graco Sit 'N Stand so you are able to sit on the back or you can stand and easily get off whenever you please.

You really just like being by Kalvin. I had him lying on the couch one day and you made me lay you next to him. He kept grabbing your hair (on accident) and you just giggled at him.

Kalvin you've started smiling! It makes our hearts so happy to see that cute little face!

Sometimes while daddy is at work we will go to the toy section and just play. Unfortunately the bikes that you know how to ride are attached to cardboard! Fortunately, you don't care!

This one particular time we found you a slide! There is a little slide outside our apartment and you constantly want to go out and play on it. Like, all. The. Time. So I bought this one to put inside so you can play on it while I nurse.

You also started waking up at about 1-2 in the morning. Kalvin sleeps great, but isn't it the newborns that are supposed to be waking up all night?

Anyway, we decided to stop giving you naps during the day because you weren't sleeping after 2am. Well, this was the first day and you got super tired halfway up your steps and then took a little breather, aka nap.

But don't worry, you didn't 'nap' long and were then sliding down backwards!

You basically thrive on yogurt! You want it for breakfast lunch and dinner! And a bedtime snack.

And you still aren't very fond of getting your picture taken...

You hide your face…or you just hide!

And you still love your pacifier. If we weren't moving across country, I would be taking that thing away from you! You aren't going to be happy when that day comes though!

Unfortunately, Kacie likes to beat you up Kalvin. Sometimes she is sweet and wants to hug and hold you but she can get a little aggressive too!

So we have been implementing time out, which is new for her and then we make her say sorry to you.

You really like this stroller but one night we went on a walk and you wanted to walk your doll in a stroller. So we let you push it around the neighborhood. Every time a car passed you would hold up your hand towards it and say 'oh sorry. I'm ok. I fine.' We aren't really sure why! But it was adorable!

You love veggie straws and sitting in the ottoman. I'm not sure how it is comfortable because you're sitting on a bag of blocks!

I took like 7 pictures to get this one because you kept hiding your face from me. Sometimes I look at you and you're just too cute I can't handle it.

And then there is this handsome squishy face! I just love the little round mouth you make!

I took this picture after a late night feeding… And then my friend posted this quote a few days later and I just love it!

"The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow, for children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow. So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep. I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep."

Almost every Saturday your dad has to work on HW so Kalvin stays with him and Kacie, you and I go run errands or just hang out somewhere. One Saturday I decedied to take you out for a special treat! There is a sign on the freeway advertising cake bites from this little bakery. So we went to try them out!

Not only were they pretty, they were delicious!

Here you are all dressed up for your first day of church Kalvin! You look so dapper in your little overalls!

Daddy and I were called to nursery! So we got to tote you along with us. This was your face:

Maybe a little scared of all the loud kids in there!

We love you two!

Love,
Mom and Dad
