Graduate & Baby Blessing!

Dear kids,

DADDY DID IT!!!!

He might have looked a little mad the whole time… but nonetheless, he did it!

Just pretend he is the other girl...

Wait.

That's weird.

Ok, now he's smiling!

And so was grandpa G. But I think that was because he was holding you Kalvin!

Kacie kept us entertained by clapping with everyone.

Seriously it was adorable. You got so excited and shouted anytime other people did and clapped at all the appropriate times.

Dad tried to make this face for the professional photographers but they wouldn't let him. So instead he made it for us!

And there he is, in all his glory, with his fake, real diploma!

We are so proud of him for all of his hard work. He loves us all so much that he went through years and years of school to be able to support our family better.

It was so great having our families in town.

We did, of course, miss Ang & Greg, Jereme, Kassidi and Devin

The proud parents:

The proud Grand parents:

The proud Father:

The proud wife!

I'm sure Aunt Mallory wanted these on the internet

I don't know why else she would have taken them.

Line up boys! She's single and a real hoot! ;)

Kacie, you got really attached to Grandma Sandra while she was here! I think you warm up to her quick because of her iPad but then you just end up really liking her because you're comfortable around her. I'm always so sad that we live so far away from our families. It makes my heart hurt a little whenever our families have to go home. You kids are so loved!

Here is dad about to open part of his graduation present… We got some mini sparkling ciders to toast to dad and then he got a bike trailer to hold you kids and he is going to pick out a bike once we get to Missouri!

After dad's graduation we went to lunch at The Smoking Apple. Then we came home and hung out for a while. You were being so goofy! You had us put a blanket on your head and then wrap it around you too!

Grandma and Grandpa Gonthier were so excited to meet you Kalvin!

Grandma Tracey helped take care of you. She changed your diaper and held you and even read you a book!

On Saturday, mom and dad left you kids with your grandparents for a little while and went on a date. We went and got some doughnuts from the Lehi Bakery. Apparently they are famous for the square doughnut, but neither of us knew that they had square doughnuts!

Uncle Colins roomate Ethan got a bread maker so he made your dad a delicious loaf of 'Congrats' bread!

As always Kacie, you love spending time with your Uncle Colin. He is standing on stairs and you wanted to hold onto the railing so you kept smooching his face into it!

Now the great thing was that Grandma and Grandpa Gonthier were here for dad's graduation and happened to be here for the blessing and Grandma and Grandpa were here for Kalvin's blessing and happened to be here for the graduation!

On Sunday May 3rd, we were able to bless you Kalvin. It was a beautiful blessing, and dad didn't change your name in it!

Such a handsome boy!

My favorite picture… if you can't tell why, it's because of you Kacie! Aunt Mallory's face says "Be cool. Be cool guys. Don't look at the screaming baby."

Kalvin, look at all the people who came to your special day! There are aunts, and great aunts, uncles and great uncles, grandparents and great grandparents. You don't have any cousins yet but you have some great cousins! (I guess that's what you could call them) and they were there too! And a lot of them came from out of state!

Of course, there will always be an adorable picture of you Kacie in some fancy dress!

Seeing pictures like this just weird me out! How can I be this old?!? But your dad and I love it. We love every second of being your parents and a family of 4!

Kalvin, you were blessed with some wonderful things in your blessing. We know that Heavenly Father has a plan for you and we hope that you will find out for yourself what that means. We hope that you will pray for yourself and build a testimony of all the wonderful things Heavenly Father needs you to do.

We will love you no matter what, but we hope that you will find peace in the Gospel and in your Savior and remember:

“Yes, there will be moments of beginnings and moments of endings throughout our lives, but these are only markers along the way of the great middle of our eternal lives…Being always in the middle means that the game is never over, hope is never lost, defeat is never final. For no matter where we are or what our circumstances, an eternity of beginnings and an eternity of endings stretch out before us.”

(adorable outfit provided by Grandma & Grandpa Jarvis)

Grandma and Grandpa Jarvis and Aunt Aub had to leave for home right after the blessing so we took a bunch of pictures with them!

And the coolest thing about our family is that your grandparents have been friends for so long! So pictures like this are really fun to take because it is more than just our parents and our kids, it's long time friends sharing grandkids!

I am so proud of daddy for all his hard work in graduating. It's been a long road getting here but it is a great accomplishment! And to end that weekend blessing his son, I know it was a special thing for him to hold you in his arms and bless you with promises from our Father in Heaven.

We are all so blessed to have such a loving family that supports us in all that we do. Don't ever forget how much your family loves you!

Love,

Dad and Mom
