Dear Kacie,
We really don't get out very much so it's not very often that you around other people. If there are other kids around, you are oblivious to the adults and don't really care who is near you. But when we are in our house you are territorial. So having different faces at home makes you 'shy' at first.
Grandpa Jim and Uncle Jerm came to visit for a few days for Priesthood session. You loved Uncle Jerm. You were terrified of Grandpa but would go straight to Uncle Jerm. It was cute and sad (for grandpa).
We ended up going to the aquarium again. There were these awesome frogs:
We didn't get a picture of the blue frogs but this little yellow one has enough poison to kill 10 people!!!!
This penguin posed perfectly for us.
You loved watching the fish again!
And people kept thinking Uncle Jerm was your dad. At the grocery store you were on his shoulders and someone said "Are you having so much fun on daddy's shoulders?" and Uncle Jerm was like "I'm the uncle."
But, you eventually warmed up to your Grandpa. And you got some good cuddle time in with him and that just made him so happy!
On Saturday morning we went to Kneaders for my belated birthday breakfast.
It was delicious, and fun, and satisfying.
Then we spent the rest of the day listening to conference.
And to keep you entertained we set up your Deluxe Baby Fun Zone and played with you!
Uncle Jerm got in their with you and that made you happy… I think…
You loved to be with him all weekend. You would walk to him or reach for him and it was a nice break for me!
And then you climbed on daddy. He's usually more entertaining than your toys.
Then dad went to priesthood and they had a great time.
Afterward we all went out to dinner at Chili's.
I like to consider this visit as a birthday present from my family. I love my family soooooo much and miss them a lot all the time! So even though they say it was Uncle Jerm's birthday present, I think of it as mine!
It was so great to get to spend some time with them especially since Uncle Jerm is putting in his mission papers soon and we won't get to see him for two years!
Thanks for being the cutest thing ever! We all love you so much!
Love,
Mom and Dad
