Epic Spring Break

Dear Kacie,

March has was such a busy month! I am sooo behind on my posts!

We have this calendar in our kitchen and usually there is one thing on it for the whole month but this time it was filled up!

Your dad had spring break. We looked into hotels in Salt Lake and thought about going there for a few nights just to get out and not be 'managers' but man are hotels expensive! So instead of spending $200 on a hotel we decided to do something fun each night

We started it off by celebrating Oreos birthday!

Ya, we went all out...

We kept stalking you on our video monitor because sleeping babies with bums in the air is adorable!

Patiently waiting for me to feed you!

Playing in your room!

When your hair is wet, it curls. But when it dries, it's straight! So I put a bunch of mousse in your hair and it was adorable! It stays curled for a bit but eventually goes straight!

Anyway, we had our friends over for dinner. They have a little boy who is 1 and he's like your arranged boyfriend. By that I mean that you follow him every where and he doesn't really acknowledge you. But it's adorable! And he's adorable! You are allowed to marry him someday!

We made pizza and then made t-shirts! Dad made an iron man symbol on his. Mine has us flying kites! Yours says "9 months."

Our friends made one shirt with a BYU cougar on it, one that says "I love ecyrB and Haze" (she had a slight mishap with the crayons!) and your boyfriends said "Birthday Suit"

Of course I forgot to take any pictures!

We had a blast though! OH! and the best part was that they brought delicious doughnuts for dessert!

One day I was getting ready to feed you and I guess I wasn't going fast enough mixing the rice cereal in and you started eating your toes!

So Tuesday morning of dad's epic spring break we had planned on going to the temple. So we got up early (and Aunt Melissa babysat for us), went outside and it was snowing!! I am just not used to this still-snowing-in-March weather.

And to be quite honest, I hate it. I don't mind rainy weather but its was thick, giant flakes of snow every where!

Not a great picture, but this is dad and I after the temple. And yes, that is sun shining even though it was just snowing an hour before!

Watching some baby Einstein's!

We went to JCW's one night.

It is sooo delicious! We loved having dad there with us.

We are totally responsible and let you stand on the table… You walked over to the divider and stared at the people on the other side. They loved it, because you're adorable!

Sometimes we have to trap you in odd places because you are too mobile!

The next night we went to Buffalo Wild Wings. We would have gone to a a real baseball game instead but they don't have the Cardinals in Utah...

blurry, as per usual...

Grabbing my face, because she wouldn't be a baby if she didn't.

Then we went to a store to walk around.

Ummm, they had this adorable recliner! I wish we had more room for it because you looked sooooo cute in it!

"Smile for daddy!"

We made waffles and home made whip cream one night.

And then we went to your boyfriends house for his 1st birthday party! He has this little walker toy and you absolutely enjoyed it. The whole night you just pushed it back and forth, totally ignoring anything in your way!

We snacked on scrumptious salsa from Macey's one day!

And then we tried a new restaurant called Bam Bam's. You know it's a great place because their hours are taped on the door on paper.

And their walls were painted with chalkboard paint and decorated with chalk art!

(I look tired, but I just didn't have make-up)

Guys, it was soooo good! We've been back a few times since then...

The best part of the evening was when we gave Kacie her first sip of Root Beer and she made funny faces like this:

Don't worry, we only gave her a tiny sip!

Then we went to the mall.

And Kacie lifted some weights

Work it girl!

The next morning we walked to Macey's to get some delicious doughnuts! She loves walks!

Then, you and I had to play on our own while daddy did some homework.

And by 'play' I mean that you creepily watched him and wouldn't leave him alone.

There is an outlet mall in Lehi that we went to check out. Daddy wanted to look in the Nike store and we found some adorable shoes! They were super expensive but all we needed was a picture anyway!

Notice how dad is holding your hands down? That's because you do not like sunglasses and tried taking them off before I got a picture!

You love bath time!

We made a late night Walmart run to get Mega M&M's for our popcorn. Don't worry, I wore the appropriate attire for that place.

Grandma G bought you a horse before you were even born. You like it! And you look adorable!

Getting ready for church!

It was such a great spring break. We totally enjoyed spending extra time with dad. We were going to go fly kites but we ended up Skypeing your fathers family. They wanted to see you stand on your own so we stood you up and then you took two steps!!! So we were a little distracted and didn't make it to fly kites.

But you ended daddy's epic spring break epically for him!

You love to eat these banana cookies we got you but they are sooo messy! So we have to undress you for you to eat one.

Here is our thankful pot overflowing!

Dancing with Daddy before he left for work

Just playing with your toys!

These are my saint patty's day nails:

Kisses!

Passed out in your crib after a long day of playing

You are a little blurry but you were crying when dad was trying to leave for work. It was adorably sad!

But you got over it pretty quickly...

And then nap time came...

Your motto is :If it's not on the floor then it should be."

And that rule applies to all areas of the house!

Nap time should be called "Put you in the crib thinking I'm going to get something done and regain some sanity but instead listen to you scream until I realize I'm actually losing my sanity quicker" time.

I was going to buy these but they didn't have them in dad's size...

We love you!
