Dear Kacie,
You can be a real pill! But can't we all?
I hear so many things about this age being hard. It sucks because you understand a lot! And you're so close to being able to do a lot on your own. But you're just not quite there yet and you can't talk so you just scream instead.
Anyway, you've been trying to use time out occasionally when you repetitively do things you know you're not supposed to…
It's not working.
You love time out.
Sometimes, you even put yourself in timeout! This picture is of dad trying to tell you not to climb on the computer desk. He pointed to his eyes and said "look at me when I'm talking" and I guess you thought he was pointing to his nose because you reached forward, poked his nose and said 'beep!'
So round two of my sugar cookie decorating went really well! I was very impressed with how they turned out.
I had planned on making your uncle Colin a cookie earlier but ended up eating it so this time around, I made sure to make one for him and take it to him right away! He was at work so we took one to the girl that also works at the time he is.
I obviously had to make one for each of us…
And then I just decorated the others for fun!
I got this pillow years and years ago, probably for Christmas, but just pulled it out recently. I was going to give it away but you love it!
You also love taking off your shirt...
And then when you tried to put it back on, this was as far as you got...
And then you walked around with it on your head for a few minutes
Here you are again, trying to undress yourself!
Every Monday we have a Skype date with Aunt Ang. This week, you took the iPad, put it on your chair and then sat next to her! It was cute and funny!
Your hair is getting long but because you are always running and rolling around it tends to come out of ponytails really easily. So I've started putting it in several ponytails and it is so adorable!
There is a house in our neighborhood that has two statues out front…they seem to be made of car mufflers or exhaust pipes…
Several weeks ago I had the idea to make you this bottle thing that your grandma Tracey uses for her primary class. I just filled it with a bunch of beads and gems and pom pom so you could shake it and look at it… Well it turns out that you enjoy putting the pieces in the bottle more than playing with the actual bottle.
You really don't like riding in carts anymore… We need you to stop growing up mentally so fast because you think you are so old but you're still a little baby and we can't just have a kid running around everywhere!
This time, you decided to ride on the back of the cart. If you would always ride there it wouldn't be so bad! But usually you want to walk on your own.
Going to the store is always an 'adventure' because you just want to run around, explore and play! Dad gets a good work out from chasing you up and down the isles!
We love you!
Mom and Dad
