Dear Kacie and Kalvin,
What an adventurous week we had with dad home!
Here you are at 24 weeks old Kalvin. I'm anxious to make it through this week because 25 weeks is when they consider a born baby a viable life and the chances of living are much higher. I'm definitely not saying you should come now, I'm just saying that it's a good milestone to pass, just in case.
You still move a lot and Kacie still doesn't understand that you're going to shake up her only child world. But dad and I are excited for you to get here and to see your personality develop!
I'm still taking medicine for nausea every day and I'm still pretty tired. My heartburn is bad but you aren't kicking my ribs yet!
You and I prefer to stay inside… One day dad was out shoveling snow and Kacie and I decided to go visit him for a minute. I was trying to put on your shoe Kacie and you started backing up saying 'no. no. no" so apparently you didn't want to go outside either!
You still love bath time, even when there is no water in it!
And you eat your bread like a weirdo…
We were rear ended the week before Christmas and my back has been sore so I have been going to physical therapy. I can tell that it is helping but it's kind of frustrating because sometimes I don't know what is sore from being rear ended and what is sore from carrying around a lot of extra weight.
The other toy you got for Christmas was this shape box. You are still confused why the blocks don't fit in any hole, but I'm sure you will learn quick! For the time being, you just fill it with other toys!
Here you are giving dad a back rub with his new massager!
Since it snowed so much Christmas day and since dad had all this free time, we decided to take you to play in the snow!
It was soooo cold!
We thought of taking you sledding but we just weren't sure if you were going to even like the snow or not, so we decided to test it out first.
You loved the snow!
And it hasn't snowed enough since then that we have had a chance to take you sledding. So that's a bummer because we think you would have loved it. You were a bit stiff wrapped up in all your clothes and your snow shoes are like 6 sizes too big, but that is all they had at DI!
I hope it doesn't snow again because it makes everything messy and slushy and brown, but I hope it does snow again, preferably on a weekend, so that we can take you sledding at least once this winter!
Taking you on new adventures is really fun!
Love,
Mom and Dad
