1 Month!

Dear Kalvin,

HAPPY ONE MONTH of life!

We are so blessed to call you ours!

So far, Kacie has been a slight terror, but we don't think she wants to send you away! In fact, a lot of times if she is crying we will point out you and she gets happy!

Although she also tries to take your spotlight all the time!

You are just perfect. You never cry. You sleep through the night basically. I mean occasionally you'll wake up after 5 hours but you usually sleep for 6 and a few times even 7 hours! We aren't even close to being exhausted like we were with your sister. (first time parents, right?)

During the day you just lay wherever and calmly watch whats going on around you, or sleep.

You don't spit up as much as Kacie did. I wouldn't say that you don't spit up, because you do. But I won't be holding it over your head for the rest of your life like I will your sister! It makes your dad's life easier too because he doesn't come home to a crying spit-up drenched wife!

Dad says he loved your first month of life! "It was awesome!" (is it clear why I write the blog?)

But seriously, we enjoyed every second of our time getting to know you and just cuddle your tiny growing body - because we weighed you and you were almost 10 pounds already!

And you don't seem to think we are all that bad either! You smile sometimes and you let your sister beat you up a little.

Life with you is so chill. I hope it always is that way!

Some days I watch Kacie running around with all her energy, and I look at you laying there, perfectly quiet and I think "Two's good. We don't need more kids."

(but other kids, if you do end up being born, don't worry, we love you a lot and wanted you I promise!)

Anyway, Kalvin, we are excited to see what the next month brings!
