One Month(ish)!!

Dear Kalvin,

You are actually 34 weeks as I am writing this, (and I think you're more like 35 weeks, but that's just me). Anyway, This is you at 33 weeks!

I actually took the picture a few days after the 33 week mark because it was a terrible day! I woke up feeling really sick. Then Kacie threw up at breakfast. Then I threw up a few hours later. I didn't eat all day and then was sick on Saturday too. Then daddy woke up sick on Sunday and Kacie was still having diarrhea all weekend so it was just a really rough couple of days.

This picture pretty much sums up how all of us felt.

Monday was a nightmare! I went in to wake Kacie up because it was almost 11. When I went in she looked up at me and I knew something was wrong. Her hair looked wet and matted. And then I realized that she had thrown up. I was sooo sad, I couldn't believe I didn't know she had thrown up and that she had to sleep in it. And then she got up and I realized that she had also leaked poop out of her diaper.

Kacie was covered, head to toe, front and back with poop and vomit. I cleaned her up and then I had an emotional break down! I feel so awful that she had to sleep like that and that I had no idea!

That all might be a little TMI, but it was such a hard weekend for me. Being pregnant is so frustrating sometimes. I am glad that we are going to add you to our family Kalvin but man, the road to getting you here is a bumpy one! It is hard to take care of sick people while not being able to bend and throwing up at the slightest stinky smells.

I'm just really glad we were all feeling better to welcome the 34th week of pregnancy!

I'm definitely to the point where I waddle a lot! Your Uncle Colin said that to me the other day, that I have a 'cute pregnant waddle.' I'm not so sure about cute, but I guess it's better than having an ugly one!

We went to Babies R Us one night to check out strollers and rocking chairs and swings. I think we found the perfect double stroller! And Kacie loved testing it out with dad. She kept laying back in the seat just relaxing while dad raced up and down the isle!

Plus, Babies R Us has Stork Parking!!! I think every store should have this!

Well Kalvin, You could be here in just a month! You still move a lot and painfully. Lately I have been able to feel you a little on my pelvic bone which is weird. I didn't have that with Kacie!

The doctor told me today that I can be induced at 39 weeks! We will see how things go, but that is April 10th, which is exactly a month from today! Except today I feel pretty good, so I'm leaning towards not being induced.

But if you'd asked me a few days ago, I'd be like, crying, saying "39 weeks? Are you kidding me? I have to pee my pants for how much longer? I can't lay on my back for how many more days? This acid reflux will be here for how many meals?"

Today I'm like "Kalvin, you should just stay safe and cozy right where you are." But with your sister, even though I went into labor, I had to be induced.

Unfortunately, 39 weeks is a couple days after Grandma Sandra's birthday so you probably won't get to share that day with her. But, the longer you are in there, the more likely Grandma Sandra will be able to come and meet you right away!

So here is a picture of your dad and I. I just can't believe we are having another kid… We look so young! but then again, if you look at pictures from a few years ago, we look old in this picture...

We both love you soooo much and daddy is dying to play ball with you, so don't take your time when April comes!

Love,

Dad and Mom
