Super Star Husband!

4 years ago, June 11th, Kyle and I were married! I can hardly believe it has been 4 years but at the same time, I feel like 4 years is nothing.

In some regards I think of 4 years as a REALLY long time. Like when I think of my 4 years of high school, I feel like that was a lot of time. But when I think of a 4 year old child, it's like, that's not even that long to be alive.

Anyway, I painted my nails our wedding colors to celebrate.

I posted the following picture with the following caption on Instagram:

"Sometimes you celebrate 4 years of marriage forgetting it's your anniversary, meeting with your boss, eating yogurt and granola, watching Baby Einstein's with your 1 year old, while your husband goes to school and work so that when you've been married for 25 years, you can go to Hawaii!"

We were supposed to go to California and spend a day at the beach but we ended up having to pay for some of Kyle's summer classes so we got to stay in Utah.

But we chose to do classes so we can get this stage of life over with sooner… Let's hope that maybe next year we can do something a little more exciting. (and by exciting I mean we will be spending all of our money on moving)

We really didn't get to do anything on our anniversary but Kyle got me these beautiful flowers and they are still alive and beautiful a week later!

I was watching a show the other day and this couple was arguing because the guy didn't want to go to the girls house. He tells her that he never stays the night at her house because she makes him feel like just a visitor there and she didn't even clear out a drawer for his stuff.

Marriage is a beautiful thing.

It takes strength to commit to someone. And not in a 'I cleared out a drawer for you' kind of way.

In a way that says "I am committed to you forever and I don't need years to decide that. I commit to you in everything. I am not only clearing out a whole drawer for you, but I am going to buy you your own dresser, let you have the walk in closet, and you can wear my clothes when yours aren't enough." kind of way.

Kyle,

I can't thank you enough for ALWAYS letting me stay the night. I'm glad that you're enough of a man to want to combine our rent payment and not make us pay two of them. I'm glad that you are selfless enough to allow me into every part of your life, and not just the convenient parts.

I am so honored that you chose me!

You make me laugh everyday and you make sure life stays exciting, even if we're just sitting at home.

You're the best father and husband. I say those two things together because even though you are busy with full time work and school, you still make sure that Kacie and I are happy.

I am so grateful for the people we are becoming because of each other. You make me want to be better at life and better at accomplishing my goals.

Thanks for taking me to Kneaders, it was delicious!

And for letting me have a disco ball at our reception.
