Pictures, New Couch and Fun Board!

So I know you are all wondering what Kyle and I are up to…

Oh, you're not? Well I am going to tell you anyway!

I finally got a bunch of pictures printed from the past few years of my life!
I got myself a lovely new photo album:

That's not Kacie… I'm going to put her picture there someday!
And I filled it with tons of lovely photos!!

I love it!

Then I went a little bit frame crazy:

But seriously guys, frames at DI are like $.75 to $1.50

Amazing.

Then I painted them all black, grey and teal

Then we organized them and re-organized them like 500 times!

I even cut out mini frames and organized them on a much smaller scale because there were too many to keep moving the big ones around! Then I took pictures so I could compare and see what I liked.

In the end, I only slightlyly stuck with the laid out plans.

And this is how it ended up looking!

We love! But we definitely can't wait to add more pictures some day! But probably not for a while…

The next exciting thing, we got a new couch!

Since we got married we had acquired a giant blue chair, an old green love seat, a tan pull out bed couch and a stiff rocking chair! If you didn't catch on, it was time for some nicer furniture!

So Kyle got on KSL and found a REALLY good deal on a very decent couch!

We had so much stuff in our living room we had to move it all to one side to get the couch in. Then we moved all the old furniture out and gave it to Colin! We moved the Bookshelf into our bedroom.

And here it is!

And the final product of our productive weekend:

Complete with Kyles school stuff, cause let's be honest, that's all he really does!

The next exciting project was for Kacie.

We got a (free) piece of wood board from Home Depot. Then we collected a bunch of knicks and knacks. We painted the board teal.

Then we laid all of the knicks and knacks to figure out the best way they would fit!

Kacie was terrified of the drill but already loved the board before we finished!

Already her favorite thing, the spring door stop.

Helping Daddy

Hanging it up on the wall!

Straight to the door stop!

Sewing the fabric rope together.

My little sewing buddy.

(It's the flash guys, she's just like me and can't handle it!)

Turning the fabric right-side out.

Almost finished!

Getting closer!

It's an activity board!

Ok so we added things to pull up on or hold on to, things that move and things that have texture.
Hold onto:
Drawer knob, drawer handle, exercise rope thing
Move:
Two door locks, chains, wheel, door stop, fabric rope, magnets (that will be saved for when she won't eat them)
Texture:
Fabric rope, glass tiles, fabric squares

Kacie loves it. And I think she will love it even more when she grows into it and gets past the "must eat door stop" phase.

We have been working out more.

Kyle goes to the gym, kind of, and plays basketball. I've been doing some yoga.

If I'm being completely honest, which I am, 'working out more' means that we think about it 4 days of the week and do it 3, sometimes.

I have a love hate relationship with exercise. I always feel good after but I hate it.

A lot.

But I know I need to get strong again. I miss my old body. I know I won't ever get it completely back but I can get a healthier body than I have now! And that's good for me!

Anyway. I've been doing yoga.

I think I like yoga because at the end of it you get to basically take a quick power nap and still call it working out! I have this postnatal yoga workout that I do and its totally catered towards my body. I didn't realize I had lost muscle in a few places from giving birth. But as I do the yoga I can feel them getting stronger. And it knows that I just (7 months is not that long guys) had a baby so it's not intense but its still giving me ways to strengthen myself.

But again, lets be honest, I don't do this pose every time.

Obviously I was busy taking pictures of my early morning workout partna'

When I would do the 'small cobra' pose facing her, she would look at me and just laugh. It was like she was saying "Mom, you look so funny working out"

I mean, why go to the gym when I can look at this while exercising.

She may have woken herself up a little too early that day! Picture mid-yawn!

Anyway, we made some peanut butter chocolate protein powder balls. I'm not sure what they are really called but they are delicious and supposedly good for a working out human body.

Other than baby, managing, school and work the only exciting thing is Kyles new TV. He loves a good big screen!

We are absolutely loving being parents and really find true joy in raising Kacie! All the stuff above is just like extra excitement.
