The New Year!

Dear Kacie,

My oh my how you are growing!

You still don't do great in sacrament meeting. We finally found something to entertain you, crayons, until you got bored with them and decided that chewing on them would be better!

You're still the prettiest little girl in town! And you wear your dresses very nicely!

At this point, you were getting some molars so your hands were constantly in your mouth!

I'm not sure what this was over but you're still beautiful when you cry!

Also, I have to occasionally send this type of picture to your dad, just to let him know going to school isn't always the worst thing to do!

Being pregnant makes me want to kick your father out of our bed so I can sleep like this:

Although, I can't sleep on my back (lame) so that exact position will have to wait a few more months!

There was about a week when it was EXTREMELY cold. It snowed on Christmas day and then got cold. One night/day it was incredibly windy. I walked outside and our grill had blown across our patio! Needless to say, you and I did not really leave the house.

Smiling for dad:

We went to my doctor for my checkup on Kalvin.

You haven't quite figured out that you don't want to be the one on the table!

But it kept you entertained for a few minutes so we let you enjoy it.

You taught yourself to drag the table chairs around the kitchen so you can get anywhere you want. This particular time, you wanted sugar.

So you climbed to the gingerbread houses and started eating yours. You loved it!

One thing I have craved a few times since being pregnant is banana bread. You like to help me make by smashing the bananas! Here you are getting a good pounding in on them!

Dad and I went a little crazy for the holidays. In the end I think we purchased a total of 14 martinellis…  We just wanted to try all the flavors and weren't sure which ones we would need two of!

They sat on the table and so you did too. You would just sit up there picking off all the labels! You would get this serious, focused look on your face!

And here is my perfect loaf of banana bread!

New Years day, Danielle came over for a little bit to visit and eat chocolate fondue and cheese ball!

Then that evening we went to the Draegers. We left there at about 9 to get you to bed but it was fun hanging out with family!

Then dad and I stayed up late, til like 1:00am!

We played Nerts, ate cheese balls and of course, dipped a bunch of fun things in chocolate!

2014 was a good, tough year for us. It was mostly good though.

January: Dad started a new semester which meant one more step closer to graduating!
February: You still had no teeth, I was still nursing and getting thrown up on constantly!
March: You started walking this month! What a great milestone! Grandma Tracey came to visit for a few days!
April: I reached age 24. Grandpa Jim and Uncle Jerm came for a visit!
May: We started off the month headstrong doing the Whole 30. May 9th, Grandma Sandra was in her accident. You and I spent 2 1/2 weeks in AZ helping take care of things.
June: We celebrated one year of parenting, oh and your 1st birthday, with 5 birthday parties!
July: We saw my moms side of the family at our family reunion. We got to visit your dads side of the family and spend a couple days at the beach in California!
August: We found out we were going to be adding another baby to the family! Dad also started another semester, which again, meant one more step closer to graduating!
September: We traded in our Giant Blueberry (Mazda5) for The Blackberry (Mazda CX7). It is much cooler than The Blueberry cause it's Turbo! And the biggest selling factor for dad was it's all wheel drive! (not that we used it at all this winter)
October: Grandma Sandra drove herself here for a few days to visit! Halloween was fun, but you still don't really get trick-or-treating. Dad looked fantastic as Gru!
November: Dads family came for Thanksgiving. It was fantastic having them here in our little home!
December: We found out that you would be having a baby brother!! We chose Kalvin Scott for his name. Christmas was a blast! Next Christmas we will have a 2 1/2 year old and a 9 month old! Weird!

2015 was a fantastic year for us, aside from the fact that I was incredibly sick for 3 months. We are so grateful for our family and the time we get to spend with them. Heavenly Father really blesses us Kacie!

We love you so much!

Mom and Dad
