Dear Kacie,
I seem to forget to put updates on what is going on in your dad's life...
But let's be honest, it's all about you now, isn't it?
I know I talked a little about school in the last post. He really enjoyed his psychology classes this semester and it makes me so happy to see him excited about the things he is learning. Last night he was talking about his final paper and explaining what he had evaluated from it. It is really interesting stuff!
He is working at Greenwire Global right now. Basically he is just on the phone all day helping people set up there diabetic monitors for an insurance company. If you ask him how is work he says 'It's work...' but I think he secretly kind of enjoys it, like in a "providing for the family, feeling accomplished" kind of way!
Your dad really wants to participate in an ironman, but for now is aiming for a triathlon. He wanted to be in one on June 15th but then I reminded him you are due on the 19th. Either you will have just barely been born, or mommy won't be very comfortable to go and cheer him on! Plus, if he waits a little longer than me and you can be waiting for him at the finish line! Then we can take one of those cute little "yay for daddy" family pictures...
We are thinking of getting him a bike and he could ride it to school/work. That will not only help him train but it will save us gas money!
What I really wish is that we could find him a waterpolo team to play on. He misses it so much and I still haven't gotten to see him play! But Kacie, I hear he was really good at it! He doesn't brag about it but I always do! I'm sure he's shown you his Nationals ring that he won.
Well dear, we are down to 62 days left.
Here's to hoping it's actually only like 52 days!
Dad is so excited for you to come! I always tell him when I feel you moving around and he runs over to feel you. Of course, you almost always stop moving when he puts his hand on my tummy but now that you are getting bigger it's hard to hide from him. Sometimes I just poke and jab him in the stomach and say "That's what it feels like."
I've only seen your dad cry a few times (he says he doesn't have tear ducts) but I think that he is going to be a big softie with you around! And I can hardly wait for that!
Love,
Mom and Dad
