Dear Kacie,
You got to go to nursery!
Your father and I were a little nervous with how you would do so we had to stay with you for your first week...
As you will be able to tell by the following picture, you LOVED it and barely even noticed we were there!
Here you are trying to sneak some of your friends snacks!
I will say that it was hard to leave you. And it will definitely make church different than it has been for the last 18 months! (but that will only last for another 3 1/2 months)
Here we are in our Christmas outfits!
We are not sad to say goodbye to 1:00 church time. It was right in the middle of nap time and when we got home, you were pooped!
Dad was doing dishes and turned around to you sleeping.
But don't worry, you took a power nap and were spunky for gingerbread house decorating!
I would put some frosting on the house, and dad would help you get a candy and you would put it on!
Here is the finished product:
After you went to bed, dad and I decorated our own houses. Here is mine in progress, the tootsie rolls are temporarily holding up the windows while the frosting dries.
And here is dads in the process:
I was really impressed with how well mine turned out!
I used life cereal for the roof tiles, chocolate covered sunflower seeds for the lights
And my tree was poorly made up of some left over graham crackers.
Your father decided on the Eye of Sauron for his 'gingerbread house'
I thought it turned out pretty awesome! And if you saw how much work your dad put into getting it to stand like that, you would be even more impressed!
I was nervous to decorate with you at first, but you did so well and then we got to have these beauties to enjoy for a few days!
We are loving this age that you are at! It certainly makes life even more exciting!
Love,
Mom and Dad
