Dear Kacie,
I found a bunch of adorable pictures on your dads phone. They are actually from the night we decorated for Christmas.
Remember the delicious cheese ball Uncle Colin made? Well you sat on the counter eating it.
You were so excited to be up on the counter eating delicious food. It was awesome!
This was right after the tree went up. You were inspecting all the lights and ornaments.
And one of your favorite decorations is the Santa door bell. You like to play with it because it jingles!
And this is the next day when you took all the ornaments off… and laid them on the ground next to the tree! But that is why we put only our durable ornaments out.
We also Skyped with Aunt Ang that day and you had a blast! She played fetch with Luna and you LOVED it. You were so excited to see the dog running around!
And then she was pretending to eat your foot so you kept putting it on the screen while she 'munched' on it. It was sooooo funny!
As I have mentioned, being pregnant, especially this time around, is really hard! I was going on grocery shopping trips once or twice a month to get real food for us to eat. Well, we have about drained all the essentials in the house like meat and ingredients… haha, so everything.
Anyway, I even made pancakes one night and then realized we were out of syrup! So luckily I was able to improvise with peanut butter and whip cream. And we sliced up some bananas to add a little zest…. or something like that.
It was really good!
And you loved it too!
Of course, you like to eat the whip cream straight out of the can so I wasn't too surprised!
Here you are cuddled under a blanket watching TV
And here you are sitting in my chair...
While I sit on the floor!
You still love to read and I love to watch you read to yourself! You just pull all of your books out and then sit in the middle of them!
I promise we don't actually watch a ton of TV but when I don't feel very good, we do turn it on more often and this particular day you were being very inattentive to it! The best part is that we were watching The Biggest Loser and you apparently like it a lot because you were glued to the screen.
My mom made my stocking so last year I made yours (the snowflake one). I was so excited to finally know that you were going to have a baby brother so I already made his stocking too!
It's so cute!! I love our stockings. They make it feel so Christmasy.
I swear we don't watch this much TV but it had been a long week and I occasionally need a break from chasing you. And until we started watching The Biggest Loser, you didn't really sit still for more than 5 minutes anyway!
Well, this is you again watching TV. You wanted to sit on my lap but I had to pee and Kalvin didn't want to be squished right then. Luckily, you were nice enough to lay on the floor for me for a few minutes. Daddy always likes to see the silly/nice things you do.
You like to play in dads closet and one day as he was getting ready for work, you stepped into his shoes!
We were at the store one day and your shoe came off. You stood in that spot and wouldn't move until I put your shoe back on. I guess it was weird to not have it on that foot so you didn't want to walk around!
And lastly, it still has not snowed this year and the weather has been warmish so we stopped by a park for a few minutes. You haven't really been on a swing (because last time we put you in it you were terrified). But you liked it for a few minutes, even though you were holding on really tight and were stiff.
Then a trash truck came by and it was really loud and you got scared! We ended up having to leave because you just gripped onto me and wouldn't let go.
Thanks for making our lives an adventure!
Love,
Dad and Mom
