Wipe Party, Food Face and Free Diapers!

Dear Kacie,

You love to have wipey parties! I can't look away for too long because you have a magic feel for where the wipes are!

One day you went and sat on the vent. The heat came on and you just kept looking around trying to figure out where the wind was coming from!

You refuse to sit the right way in grocery carts. Your bum is so little that it slips part way through the leg holes. Don't worry, I buckle you in or keep my hands on you so you won't fall out but you just don't want to sit the right way!

"Man. I hate it when I get food on my face."

Mommy won free diapers! Seriously, never thought I'd get as excited about it as I was!

We went to Khols to try and find you an easter dress. Your favorite 'toy' is a hanger and so you latched on to the hanger of the dress I picked and you did not let go!

You wouldn't ten let go of it at the checkout counter so the lady just let you hold it while she scanned it. And then you continued to hold it the whole ride home!

Ok, so this next picture looks like I am teasing you and not feeding you. But what is actually happening is that you were done eating and were trying to grab the food container and I wouldn't let you have it!

We bought a video monitor for your room!! It was literally the best decision ever!

It looks like a little robot!

It makes putting you in your crib for bed and naps so much easier!

Plus, it's super entertaining!

One day during your nap you crawled and squirmed around so much you pulled your pants off!

And then fell asleep like that!

Just chilling, taking a quick nap.

We Love you so much!!

Love,
Mom and dad!

First Haircut!

Dear Kacie,

You got your first haircut!

Your hair was (and is) sooo long! It was just constantly getting in your eyes.

So we put you in your Bumbo...

Got your hair wet...

And I chopped it off!

Well, not that much! Only about half an inch.

It still gets in your eyes a little but it is much better!

I was sad to even have to cut it at all!

As you can see, you do not find me very funny...

And no, we did not keep the hair that was cut off.

It's just hair.

We love you!

Love,
Mom and Dad

Dr. Suess, Leather Jacket, Nakey Baby!

Dear Kacie,

Your dad and I loooove to read!

We really hope to instill that love in you as well!

So we buy you books! And one weekend we found a bunch of books at WalMart. We got several of the Dr. Seuss books and your favorite, the touch and feel ones.

So then dad read to you for a while and you enjoy it very much!

Then we found this super cute leather jacket at Target… which we did not buy. Because you don't really need it…

But look how cute!

I wanted to buy you the perfect Easter Dress. I just could not decide between the three so I did something smart! I didn't buy any of them!

Go mom! (that's me)

You were so lucky to get so much for your showers and presents from your grandma's. You just had so many clothes size newborn - 9 months that you were barely getting to wear everything you had! So as much as I wanted to get you an Easter Dress I decided it's not worth spending the $ because you will only wear it once or twice because you already have so many cute things!

Since it has been cold we have driven to church every week. It was finally warm enough to walk! We enjoy walking. So of course, the one Sunday that we walk, forget a blanket and don't have a change of clothes, you poop on your dress.

Seriously? You haven't had a blow-out in months!

So we had this tiny tag blanket to cover you with and had to hurry home.

At least you're adorable!

We tried to get you to clim up some stairs but you just got really excited and waved your arms around in the air instead...

I made basket covers for you dresser:

This is what they look like from above. I just used scraps from your curtains and quilt fabrics.

Then I made a tag blanket with some more of the left over fabric I had.

We had to move the monitor because before you would fall asleep you would play with it and then get tangled up in it!

When we try to take pictures of you, you just lean around and try to look at us behind our phones! It's too cute!

Everything you do is amazing and we are constantly surprised at how smart you are getting to be!… that sounds bad… we know you are smart, it's just amazing that someone so little can already know so much!

Love,
Mom and Dad

Productivity!

Dear Kacie,

Sometimes I combine posts, like this one, where I will tell everyone how productive my weekend was! (a few weekends ago) And then also, talk about you!

First I sewed together some shamrocks and gold coins!

I found a suuuuper cute red hat. It obviously had to match dad's.

So dad drew the symbol and I sewed it on!

Don't look too closely!

I made myself a beautiful red bow!

And I made a cute headband for my sis-in-law's birthday!

Go CARDINALS!

Also, Happy Birthday Mallory!

I made our 'Thankful Pot of Gold'
It is overflowing now!

You crawled around with your hat on!
We were dying with how cute it was!

You always find the wipes. You love to pull them out like it's a party!

And lets be real, it is a party!

You love apples still!

(Whaaat? How'd that get in there!?!)
Just chilling, eating an apply, of course!

Wearing your hat again!

We went for a walk and you love your stroller. There's so much for you to look at!

We were going to a meeting and you had a BLAST playing with the other kids. Or should I say 'playing'… The other kids would be crying and you would just crawl by them giggling.

Apparently you haven't figured out that other babies crying, is not funny, just like you don't think it's funny when you cry!

We went out with Uncle Colin and got some ice cream!

Dad and I do something a bit mean…

We like to place your Kanine Krunchies around the edge of the table and let you walk around, and around, and around… It's awesome!

These are not tears from the previous picture… These are the tears that you make when mommy doesn't feed you immediately!

Ummm, does this picture really need a description?

We love you so much!

Love,
Mom and Dad
