Dr. Suess, Leather Jacket, Nakey Baby!

Dear Kacie,

Your dad and I loooove to read!

We really hope to instill that love in you as well!

So we buy you books! And one weekend we found a bunch of books at WalMart. We got several of the Dr. Seuss books and your favorite, the touch and feel ones.

So then dad read to you for a while and you enjoy it very much!

Then we found this super cute leather jacket at Target… which we did not buy. Because you don't really need it…

But look how cute!

I wanted to buy you the perfect Easter Dress. I just could not decide between the three so I did something smart! I didn't buy any of them!

Go mom! (that's me)

You were so lucky to get so much for your showers and presents from your grandma's. You just had so many clothes size newborn - 9 months that you were barely getting to wear everything you had! So as much as I wanted to get you an Easter Dress I decided it's not worth spending the $ because you will only wear it once or twice because you already have so many cute things!

Since it has been cold we have driven to church every week. It was finally warm enough to walk! We enjoy walking. So of course, the one Sunday that we walk, forget a blanket and don't have a change of clothes, you poop on your dress.

Seriously? You haven't had a blow-out in months!

So we had this tiny tag blanket to cover you with and had to hurry home.

At least you're adorable!

We tried to get you to clim up some stairs but you just got really excited and waved your arms around in the air instead...

I made basket covers for you dresser:

This is what they look like from above. I just used scraps from your curtains and quilt fabrics.

Then I made a tag blanket with some more of the left over fabric I had.

We had to move the monitor because before you would fall asleep you would play with it and then get tangled up in it!

When we try to take pictures of you, you just lean around and try to look at us behind our phones! It's too cute!

Everything you do is amazing and we are constantly surprised at how smart you are getting to be!… that sounds bad… we know you are smart, it's just amazing that someone so little can already know so much!

Love,
Mom and Dad

Productivity!

Dear Kacie,

Sometimes I combine posts, like this one, where I will tell everyone how productive my weekend was! (a few weekends ago) And then also, talk about you!

First I sewed together some shamrocks and gold coins!

I found a suuuuper cute red hat. It obviously had to match dad's.

So dad drew the symbol and I sewed it on!

Don't look too closely!

I made myself a beautiful red bow!

And I made a cute headband for my sis-in-law's birthday!

Go CARDINALS!

Also, Happy Birthday Mallory!

I made our 'Thankful Pot of Gold'
It is overflowing now!

You crawled around with your hat on!
We were dying with how cute it was!

You always find the wipes. You love to pull them out like it's a party!

And lets be real, it is a party!

You love apples still!

(Whaaat? How'd that get in there!?!)
Just chilling, eating an apply, of course!

Wearing your hat again!

We went for a walk and you love your stroller. There's so much for you to look at!

We were going to a meeting and you had a BLAST playing with the other kids. Or should I say 'playing'… The other kids would be crying and you would just crawl by them giggling.

Apparently you haven't figured out that other babies crying, is not funny, just like you don't think it's funny when you cry!

We went out with Uncle Colin and got some ice cream!

Dad and I do something a bit mean…

We like to place your Kanine Krunchies around the edge of the table and let you walk around, and around, and around… It's awesome!

These are not tears from the previous picture… These are the tears that you make when mommy doesn't feed you immediately!

Ummm, does this picture really need a description?

We love you so much!

Love,
Mom and Dad

Messy Baby

Dear Kacie,

You are getting so big!

I know what you're thinking: "Duh mom, that's what babies do."

But seriously, where has the time gone!?!

You love to eat Ritz crackers! And you know how to make a mess with them!

Luckily, it's adorable!

This is starting to happen:

But we don't hang out in the kitchen too much so it hasn't gotten out of control yet!

We went to the mall one night and there was this awesome toy store.

I don't know who had more fun, you or dad, but I might give it to your dad this time because there were dinosaurs in the store…

They even had a horse for you to pet!

And a giraffe for me!!

I wanted this so bad!

You LOOOOVE bath time!

We aren't sure if its the water, the drain plug, the faucet or the corner shelf, but you always have a blast!

It's amazing that even in such a tiny place you have dad and I chasing after you!

Dad loves that you love the bath. You'll have to forgive him for already trying to teach you to swim.

He expects you'll be going to the olympics someday…

We love you!

Love,
Dad and Mom

V-Day!

Dear Kacie,

Valentines day was only like three weeks ago...

I made dad a baseball T-shirt!

I remembered to make our milk cubes the night before!

And I got cinnamon rolls to eat with pink frosting!

Then you and I watched baby Tessa while dad was at work!

And maybe took a nap or two...

And you even held her hand!

Then Dad got home from work and gave me a rose!

You LOVED to play with it!

And we got valentines from dad's family!

And you snacked on our noses!

We got you a book… but I don't have a picture of it. (And you are napping, so I'm not going to go in your room!)

We had a fantastic valentines day and got to spend it with the best valentine around!

We love you!!!!!!

Love,
Mom and Dad
