Beach Bums

Dear Kacie,

You love to eat sand.

Ok, back up.

We left for the beach Friday morning. We got there, set up all our stuff and then headed straight towards the water! It was a little cold definitely so we didn't take you in far.

Plus, sharks.

So we sat right at the edge of the water line and started digging a hole and building a wall.

We put you in the hole and you bent right over and bit the sand!

You loved it. We sat there with you and you kept licking your hands and trying to bite more sand from the ground. It was gross!

We took you up to the covered area after a while. We cleaned you up so you could take a nap. Except we realized that we forgot extra clothes… luckily they were just in the car!

Between my phone (which I barely took out) and grandma and grandpa's phones, we got several pictures!

Dad was so relaxed there and so excited to finally take you to one of his favorite places. Next time it will be even more fun though because he will be able to take you out a little further!

He has been working so hard at school and work so it was great to let him run free!

You guys photo bombed a picture of Aunt Kassidi and Uncle Devin

And your Aunts and I posed in the sand! If you can't tell, one of us had spent the summer living in California while the other two were not out in the sun.

You took a great nap with your grandpa

I'm not entirely sure who had you on Saturday but I got to take a nice long nap on the beach. It was delightful.

This is everyone that made it to the beach

And these are all the cousins

It was very nice to spend two days with no worries and you did great for your first time at the beach!

In this picture, dad's water bottle was sitting on the edge of the chair so instead of picking it up, you just bent down and took a few sips!

Friday night we went and walked around Balboa Pier area. I saw this onsie and it reminded me of when you would spit up aaallll over me. I was really glad that we were past that phase.

They had a cool area set up with a DJ, lights and hula hoops. Dad and I were pretty good at it. I haven't hula hopped in a long time!

You just kept wanting to go run around in the middle of the dancers/hula hoops. It was a bummer that we couldn't let you!

Saturday night we just hung out at Bryce and Alices. You loved running around playing with the kids… well kind of, you really just wanted to run around on your own and get in to everything!

The drive home went pretty well. I think you do better when there isn't anyone sitting by you. We got to stop by my BFF's house in Vegas on the way home. I of course didn't get a picture with Jenessa but I should have! I think you love her as much as I do!

Your grandma and Grandpa Jarvis also got to escape for a few days. Grandma sent me this picture and it made me laugh a lot!

It's photo shopped… but still funny!

It was another great trip that your dad loved being able to spend a lot of time with you and let me have a little break. He really is so great with you!

We love you so much!

Gonthier Family Vacation!

Dear Kacie,

Your dad's family was so excited for this month because they were going to get to see you a lot.

They had a lot of plans in California so on their way they stopped here in Utah for a few days to visit with us. We squeezed them in our apartment to give them maximum time with you and they LOVED it! Uncle Devin and Aunt Kassidi hadn't seen you since you were a teeny tiny newborn!

We went to Kneaders for breakfast and Grandpa G shared his french toast with you.

When we got married, we were given a 10 year old microwave! It finally started to die so we had to go get a new one. We use the microwave a lot to thaw out your foods. It was around your bedtime when we went but you were so happy.

You LOVED Uncle Devin. He made you laugh every time he did anything!

A few days after they left we started packing for our trip to California. We bought you a cute beach hat!

The drive was kind of long because you didn't really want to sleep. You made me hold your head for several hours and my arm was so tired!

The first day that we were there we went swimming.

And I didn't plan it but we were totally matching!

Then dad and I got to go on a date! We haven't really gotten to do that since you were born.

We went to Market night and walked around. Then went and got ice cream and walked around the Redlands Temple.

It was really fun to escape for a few hours, even though we love you SOOOOOO much!

Picnics, Wipey Parties and Play Dates!

Dear Kacie,

My favorite thing to do is visit your dad at work. I just miss him so much during the day that it is great to stop by for a few minutes and visit.

We like to take him lunch and one day I made you your own PB&J!

You loved it and you look like such a big girl eating it!

I usually do pretty good at keeping the wipes out of your reach. Unfortunately, you still sometimes break into them! You love wipey parties!

Dads favortie thing is your after bath hair. It's always so crazy!

He also really likes hanging out with you. I just know you guys will be best buds!

It's Minnie Mouse. Can I really ever take too many pictures of you attacking her at the Disney Store?

This is your friend Elie.

I was laughing at you two cause you were getting in to trouble and her face is like "Uh oh! She sees you!"

"Too late."

We love you, even when you're getting yourself into trouble!

Noodles!!

Dear Kacie,

It is a lot of fun to have friends with kids your age. We went to your friend Owen's birthday party and of course, I don't have any pictures of you and him, but I do have this adorable one of you and Haze!

I bought you some cute clips to hold your crazy long hair out of your face.

They make you look so grown up.

I was just being Santa and you think I am crazy.

You LOOOVE to be flipped upside down.

And you wouldn't know it, because you won't grow, but you LOOOOVE food!

We try to keep things interesting for you.

Like going to get pizza

And taking you swimming

And letting you wander around in the pool

And sitting on the grass while you explore.

And of course, feeding you a lot of sweet potatoes!

It's just really fun to see you growing up in all your pictures.

Love,

Mom and Dad
